POPCHAIN modes: Story, Marathon and Today's Show
The 300-episode Story across 20 worlds, the endless Marathon, the daily Today's Show and its seven twists, weekly events, challenges and the squad.
Cette page est disponible en anglais et en coréen.
The home screen has two big mode cards, STORY and MARATHON, with a TODAY'S SHOW ticket under them. All three open straight from home, and each one plays the jar a little differently.
Story: 300 shows in 20 worlds
Story is a map tour of 300 designed shows, called episodes, in 20 worlds of 15 episodes each. Each world has its own rule focus. Frost Fest is about frozen boards, for example, and Deep Sea Disco puts a bass speaker in every show. Episode 1, in Sugar Rush, is a 60-second show with 4 colors and one goal: pop 40 jellies.
The worlds, in order: Sugar Rush, Neon Night, Cosmic Jelly, Golden Hour, Bubble Beach, Frost Fest, Choco Canyon, Sakura Street, Arcade City, Deep Sea Disco, Cloud Castle, Jelly Jungle, Carnival Pier, Pixel Park, Moonlit Garden, Lava Lounge, Crystal Cave, Retro Diner, Aurora Peak and Star Studio.

Goals, stars and ENCORE
Each story show has a timer of 45 to 120 seconds and 1 to 3 goals from 17 types: pop a number of one color, reach a number of viewers, hit a combo, set off bombs, free frozen jellies, clean goo, catch coin bubbles or stay live to the end, among others.
Meet every goal and ENCORE starts: each jelly left pops for points and each second left pays out. A cleared show earns 1 star, and two score marks give the 2nd and 3rd. If time runs out you can get one 15-second extension for a rewarded ad.
Unlocking, HARD shows and finales
Episodes unlock one at a time as you clear them, and any episode you have reached can be replayed for more stars. In worlds 2 to 20, episodes 5 and 10 are HARD and episode 15 is the FINALE; in Sugar Rush only episode 10 is HARD before the finale.
A first clear pays coins, doubled on HARD shows, plus XP, and every new star pays 20 coins. The map counts stars out of 900. After episode 300, new seasons remix the shows with shuffled colors, goals up to 15 percent higher and slightly faster drops.
Marathon
Marathon is the endless stream. The level rises every 22 seconds and the drops get faster with each level. New things join as you climb: paint drops from level 1, bass speakers from level 2, frozen jellies from level 3, and the sixth color and goo from level 4. The backdrop moves through Sugar Rush, Neon Night, Cosmic Jelly and Golden Hour.
Your best score gets a global rank on the results screen, with a world top ten.

Today's Show
Today's Show is one 60-second score show a day, with three tries. The day's twist and starting board are the same for every player, and show numbers count from #1 on September 26, 2026. Up to 3 stars come from score marks, and your best of three tries counts. There is no revive. Each star pays 25 coins and 30 XP, and the ticket keeps a daily streak.
Seven twists rotate: BOMB PARTY, ICE AGE, GOO NIGHT, RAINBOW RAIN, BASS NIGHT, RUSH HOUR and FULL SQUAD, which uses all six colors.

Weekly events and challenges
A weekly event changes every Monday, rotating through eight themes: Combo, Chain, Rainbow, Bomb, Viewer, Frost, Clutch and Score Week. Every finished run adds points toward 10 reward tiers, ending with 1,500 coins and an event badge.
Sharing a good Marathon result makes a challenge link. A friend who opens it sees your score on their MARATHON button, and their runs report back to you as notices on your home screen.
Meet the squad
The jellies have names and jobs. Bibi (pink) is the host, Zap (yellow) brings the hype, Pip (green) keeps things chill, Bloop (blue) is the dreamer, Impy (purple) is the prankster and Miso (orange) runs the camera. You can meet them on the SQUAD screen.
